About Seun – Industrial Designer

Ola Seun is an industrial designer at Keniye Studio, London, celebrated for his iterative, user-centered design approach. Driven by in-depth research into user patterns, behaviors, and needs, Seun refines concepts extensively during the early stages to swiftly deliver innovative and functional solutions.

With a strong foundation in mechanical product design from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Seun’s career spans diverse industries. He began at Crafts Design, contributing to consumer products and a government-commissioned ventilator, before honing his expertise at the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), where he designed military products, including vehicles and drones. Since joining Keniye Studio in 2022, he has focused on impactful consumer products for everyday use, sculptural objects, footwear, and furniture.

In addition to his role at Keniye, Seun runs his own design studio, where he works on multidisciplinary projects such as graphic design, brand design, UI/UX, web design, and more. He has also worked with ALAT By WEMA Bank to envision next-generation fintech devices for Africa. Working alongside senior engineers and designers, he has contributed to projects that include drones, interior design objects, vehicles, furniture, sculptures, automated systems, and IoT devices.

His unique strengths lie in his technical background, which enhances his understanding of manufacturing needs, and his iterative and playful approach balances client requirements with aesthetically pleasing outcomes. Guided by values of user-focused design, a commitment to creatively solving user pain points, and a minimalist yet sustainable approach, Seun maintains an ever-curious mindset.
